Our Partner this Spring: The Athens Area Humane Society

Veterinary Services

One of the biggest barriers to pet ownership is the cost of veterinary care. The AAHS Spay/Neuter & Wellness Clinic offers affordable veterinary services to the public, in addition to ensuring all of our adopted pets have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. To explore our services or book an appointment, please visit our website:                           https://athenshumanesociety.org/services/vet-services/

Pet Food Pantry

The Full Bellies Food Bowl Program offers pet food to those in our community in need. No one should have to surrender their beloved furry family member due to food costs. To donate or pick-up pet food, please visit the Athens Area Humane Society’s campus located at 1030 Mitchell Bridge Rd., Athens, GA 30606. Every third Saturday of the month, AAHS hosts a “drive-thru” pet food pick-up, between 11:00 AM-1:00 PM.

Volunteer

Our lifesaving work wouldn’t be possible without the generous help of our volunteers. There are many ways to get involved; on-site volunteering, fostering, “Doggy Days Out”, group volunteer projects, and more. Signing up is easy via our website:  https://athenshumanesociety.org/get-involved/volunteer/

Wishlist

The AAHS wishlist updates seasonally and by need, but some items are always needed! Pet food for cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies is always needed. Dr. Elsie’s brand cat litter is always on our wishlist! https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/TG19ORXQZVWO?ref_=wl_share
